CLAMPING TO TENSION

Tensioning is a method of tightening by mechanical elongation that generates only tension in the bolt. It is therefore easy to work without parasites (friction, torsion, etc. ...) and without risk of wear of the screw.

The body of the screw or dowel does not work in torsion: the material can be stressed in tension until it reaches the elastic limit.

In the case of assemblies with several bolts (such as flanges), several cylinders can be connected simultaneously to the same pressure source to achieve a balanced tightening. This not only saves time, but also provides a particularly homogeneous, precise and efficient tightening.

This tightening method is only applicable to bolt type assemblies (screw or stud + nut). Their use is reserved for competent and qualified personnel, due to the high pressure work (1500 bar).
